Greetings JACT,
This Saturday, November 17th, we will have this weekly meeting at Union 311B from 7:00-10:00 PM. The feature this week will be episodes 1-3 of Inazuma Eleven and episode 11 of our regulars: Binbougami-ga!, Heroman, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica! Please show up early so you don't get lost and remember! This meeting also marks the beginning of JACT selling Ramune, Hello Panda, Pocky! If you would like to buy some of these delicious goods, please bring money! We will be selling raffle tickets for one dollar too in case you are feeling lucky and want to try to get these yummy treats for a lower price!
Mixed Meeting Event: Casshern; The Live Action Movie!
This Friday, November 16th, we will be watching the live action Casshern movie in it's original Japanese uncut format at Mixed Theater A starting at 7:00 PM! Please, show up early so we can start on time and in case you are not sure where exactly the theater is; we will be standing outside so you can see us. If you would like directions to the Mixed Theater, please ask on the Facebook Event Page!
Plot Summary: Fifty years of war between the Great Eastern Federation and Europa - now merged as Eurasia - have taken their toll on planet Earth. As a result of the use of biological, chemical and nuclear weapons, much of Earth has become uninhabitable and people have become prey to new diseases. Professor Azuma's "neo-cell" project, which is supposed to be the answer to mankinds hardships, becomes a nightmare come true when mutants spawned from the experiment escape and declare war on the human race. Azuma's son Tetsuya, who was killed during the previous war, is reborn into the cyborg Casshern as mankind's last hope against the new mutant threat.
JACT goes to MegaCon!:
This Saturday during the meeting, we will discuss about MegaCon coming up in the Spring and "Early Bird Specials" on Hotels. If you are still wondering if you would like to go, this is a perfect time to learn more about MegaCon and what we do while attending it! It's a lot of fun!
FEATURE
Inazuma Eleven
Plot Summary: The main character, Endou Mamoru, is a very talented goalkeeper and the grandson of one of the strongest goalkeepers in Japan, who died before he was born. Even though his skills are incredible, his school lacks a real soccer club as the 6 other members don't appear very interested even in training. But as soon as a mysterious forward called Gouenji moves to Endou's town, and the club receives a challenge by the 40-year Football Frontier championship holder, Teikoku Academy, the young goalkeeper sets out to find and recruit members for his soccer team.

Binbougami-ga!
Plot Summary: Pretty, busty rich girl Sakura Ichiko has been blessed with an inordinate amount of good fortune, so much so that she's actually sucking the fortune from those around her. To correct that massive imbalance, Momiji, a God of Misfortune, has come to Earth to "treat" Sakura—only Sakura isn't so willing to cooperate. As part of an ongoing effort to remedy the problem, Momiji starts living with Sakura.
Heroman
Plot Summary: An American kid named Joey lives in an urban city & has always wanted to become a hero. Unfortunately he's just an orphan working part time to support his grandma and himself. After he watched a toy commercial on a new robot action figure, Joey believe he'll gain strength if he obtains one. The only robot toy he can get his hands on is a broken one that was abandon by a rich school bully. Feeling pity for the trashed action figure, Joey took it home to repair it. Little did he know, that once he repairs the toy, it'll make his hero dream become a reality.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Plot Summary: After experiencing a bizarre dream, Madoka Kaname, a kind 14-year-old girl, encounters a magical creature named Kyube. Madoka and her friend Sayaka Miki are offered the opportunity of gaining magical powers if they agree to make a contract with the strange little being. He will also grant them one wish, but in exchange they shall risk their lives by accepting the responsibility of fighting witches. Invisible to human eyes, witches are catalysts of despair in the areas they inhabit. An ally of Kyube, a magical girl named Mami Tomoe, befriends and encourages the two girls to accept the contract. For an unknown reason, another magical girl named Homura Akemi is determined to prevent Madoka from accepting the deal.
