I am trying to get a head count on who is coming out on New Year’s Eve. How many of you guys are riding and how many are running? It looks like the temperatures are going to be in the low 20’s with clear skies. We are going to do a 20 mile loop, so you can warm up/fuel up at Perkins between loops. We will ride an easy pace where nobody gets dropped! Since I will be riding, would any of guys like to coordinate the run if there is enough interest? Whatever you decide to do, it will be an exciting way to ring in 2010! If you can’t make it out that night, please have a safe and happy New Year!

Subject: New Year's Ride/Run/Party
Next Thursday night, some of us are going to meet at Perkins just before midnight. At the stroke of midnight, we are going to ring in the New Year on our bikes. We are going to ride the 5:15 morning route (Pleasant Plains-Old Humboldt Rd.-Scarbrough-Windy City-Old Bells Rd.-Vann Dr.-Back to Perkins) which is 20 miles. Please come out and do a loop or two. We can use Perkins as a warming stop and they said it will be O.K. to use their parking lot for our vehicles. This could be your opportunity to do your first Century ride or you can hang with George Hiscox and get in a Double Century and ride all night/day. If it is too cold and you really don’t want to ride, please bring your running shoes and do a short 3-5 mile loop or several loops. You can ring in the New Year in multisport fashion by riding a loop then running a loop. If you don’t want to ride or run, come on out anyway and have a cup of coffee or bring your favorite beverageJ Since we didn’t get together for a Christmas Party, we can still get together and ring in the New Year. Anything goes because we have craziness on our side!
