exception in example application

I am stepping through 2005 example...
In file jabber-net\jabber\connection\XmppStream.cs
in Connect()
when I watch m_stanzas, I see
Connected = 'm_stanzas.Connected' threw an exception of type
'System.NullReferenceException'
when I watch Connected.base.base. _message
_message = "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

can u check connection string of ur application and openfire con string.
