Malleswaram Moves! celebrates urban culture and neighbourhood community
building. Part of Malleswaram Accessibility Project -
M{A}P<http://www.yourmap.in/>and in collaboration with several
organisations and individuals (listed
below), the last 2 weeks of February will be packed with more than 25
unique events, exhibitions and activities celebrating urban culture. M{A}P
is a collaboration between the Directorate of Urban Land Transport - Govt.

The festival culminates on the 25th of February with a day-long series of
events, exhibitions and street-side art interventions in Malleswaram. Data
from over 1800 unique interviews on mobility issues as well as
socio-cultural relevance gathered residents, users and visitors of
Malleswaram, collected over the months of Dec 2011 and Jan 2012 will be
released and displayed to the public on this day!
The Urban Avant-Garde Project enabled top German street artists to work in
tandem with Indian artists over a period of the month of February 2012 to
create unique visual artworks on public walls and buses in the
neighbourhood of Malleswaram. The public wall painting, workshops and
lectures in Malleswaram and across the city are supported and sponsored by
the Max Mueller Bhavan/Goethe Institut –
