Jaaga Goings On

Hi Everyone,

Hope you're fantastic.

We continue our tireless pursuit of meaning, 

fun and a thriving culture thru devine union with 

the Internet at Jaaga, its humble temple.

Activities:

For the next two weeks I'm going to try to be

extra hardcore about having regular activities

at Jaaga. So come participate and take advantage

of all the awesomeness. I would love for these things

to continue, but need volunteers to help as I'll be traveling

a bit starting April 6.

YOGA 9am M - F until April 5.

I'll be conducting free yoga sessions at 9am 

Monday - Friday starting tomorrow Tuesday, March 20

and ending Thursday April, 5.

GAME NIGHT 6 - 10pm Tuesdays March 27 & April 3 

Come, lets hang out, have fun and be smart and social 

together. Strategy games, Computer games, Card games,

Board games. All welcome. If you can please bring a game

to share. If you can't, no worries, I'm sure there will be enough.

INTERNET VIDEO NIGHT 6 - 10pm Fridays March 30 & April 6

Fun videos, smart videos, intriguing videos, informative videos

whatever. Lets watch them together! Bunk work and max out your

download limits saving fun movies to a usb drive you can bring with

you. This is a community event, please participate by bringing your

favorite internet videos! If no one brings anything we're going to spend

the evening watching Machine Learning videos from Stanford and 

thats what you'll have to tell your kids when they ask how you used

to spend Friday nights. btw. this is a pretty useful tool for downloading

from youtube

I continue to be amazed by the revolution happening

with free online computer science classes being offered by the

best universities in the world. The path to alpha-geekdom has 

never been so clear:

I am looking at how I / Jaaga

can help spread the word about these classes and support

people who sign up for them. This coming Sunday I'd like to

have a casual meetup for people who are taking these classes

or are interested in taking them in the future so we can discuss

ideas of how Jaaga can help people be more successful with these

classes. I'll propose some ideas and buy chai and then we'll talk.

Jaaga Startup Meetup - 6 - 8pm Sunday March 25

Far and away the class I am most excited about is the 

Startup Venture class from Chuck Eesly at Stanford.

If you ever thought about doing a tech startup, this is

a great chance to connect with other smart people,

walk thru the process, get guidance from people in the

heart of Silicon Valley's startup ecosystem and exposure 

to the power brokers in the startup world. Seriously. And its free. 

Its like some late night too good to believe TV infomercial 

only its Stanford trying to help you do a startup, so really,

TEDxDoubleRdCHANGE - 8:30 - 11:30 pm Thursday April 5

I'm trying to ride on TED's coat tails of streamed amazingness.

The next installment seems to be sponsored by the Gate's

Foundation and its highlighting the works of people working

hard to make the world better. The streaming starts at 10pm,

but I'd like to start with local speakers who are doing good

We need the money to pay for rent, electricity, internet, etc.

Membership entitles you to hang out, use our electricity and

internet. It also gains you our heartfelt gratitude. Membership
