Why not use the J92 replacement bearings (#067T25US, #067T25LS) from Jefa Rudder? I need to replace mine and that is my intention. I have been told the rudder post is "carbon" so I will need stainless sleeves as well as the bearings.  The old bearings are Harken, I think.  Any thoughts or advice?

At the risk of repeating myself to some of you but not to others, Edson designed a better rudder bearing system than Harken years ago and Harken decided to get out of the rudder bearing business at that point.  We switched our rudder bearing over to Edson 10 years ago and its roller bearings continue to outperform plastic rubbing against plastic.  I posted pix and an article on this site years ago.  Not sure if they are still up.  If I had to do it over again, I would go with Edson again.

Good luck!
