Hi

We are building our application (http://elexis.info) with izpack and this
works great!

I tried to upgrade to 5.0.0-beta11 but I cannot find the
com.izforge.izpack.ant.IzPackTask inside the standalone installer downloaded
from
http://dist.codehaus.org/izpack/releases/5.0.0-beta11/izpack-dist-5.0.0-
beta11-installer.jar

Do I have to adpat my Ant-Script too?

Best regards

Niklaus

You're still using ant? Switch to maven :)

com.izforge.izpack.ant package from izPack 4 is not in izPack 5 (that I can
see of).
See http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/IZPACK-690 "Version 5.0 does not have
Ant task"

What you need to do (if you stick with Ant) is to grab the compiler
dependencie(s) via artifact:dependency in ant:
http://maven.apache.org/ant-tasks/examples/dependencies.html

Then figure out how you run the compiler in a similar way as the MOJO of
this maven plugin but from your Ant script to compile your own installer:
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/IZPACK/Compiling+Using+Maven

I think you'd save a lot more time and energy if you switch to maven, but...
maybe someone else knows better :)

~ Thank you,

Hi Niklaus,
thanks, please create a Jira issue to not forget this.
I haven't had a deeper look into the missing Ant task in the distribution, be patient.
