Subject: Certificate errors while installing javax.xml.soap#saaj
Attempting to install http://ivyroundup.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/repo/modules/javax.xml.soa...

I'm getting errors like:

[ivy:install]   ==== roundup: tried
[ivy:install]     http://ivyroundup.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/repo/modules/javax.xml.soa...
[ivy:install]           [FAILED     ] javax.xml.soap#saaj;1.3!saaj-
api.jar: The following error occurred while executing this line:
[ivy:install] C:\Documents and Settings\XXXXXXX\.ivy2\packager\build
\javax.xml.soap\saaj\1.3\packager-output.xml:29:
javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException:
java.security.cert.CertificateException: No subject alternative DNS
name matching saaj.dev.java.net found. (1640ms)

When I tried to access https://saaj.dev.java.net/ in my browser, I got
a certificate error, but was able to click through. Is there a way to
configure Ant to ignore the certificate error? I'm relatively new to
ivyroundup, but the other 20 or so modules I've installed today have
all worked flawlessly.

I don't know of any way to tell ant/ivy to ignore SSL certificate errors.

You could try downloading the archive yourself, putting it into /tmp, and
editing the packager.xml file as a temporary workaround.

Looks like they are playing with the web site or something. When you go to
the Downloads section (after accepting the cert), there's nothing there.

Anyway, I filed a bug: http://java.net/jira/browse/SAAJ-57

Hi Tom,

Well, I did not look into the packager-output.xml script, but my guess
is that the dev.java.net site presents a certicicate that is not
valid for the host name.

I'm quite sure that it won't be possible.
Anyway, maybe someone should change the https:://saaj.dev.java.net in
the packager.xml to 'http:'. That URL does not use encryption.
