This seems like a dumb question ... for all my many years of Linux, I've never really used screen or tmux, but I understand the general idea and I think I'm going to start. Tired of being in the middle of a long operation only to have the wireless drop, kicking me off the VPN and thus the server I was working on.
I've been looking over the tmux man page, and found a tutorial that covers some of the basics. It seems like tmux requires a server-side piece installed to function properly (this makes sense, just wanted to confirm).
I'm not entirely sure I understand what the iTerm tmux integration is? I see the options in the preferences. Does iTerm look for a tmux session when you ssh into a host, and automatically restore the session?
How are others leveraging the integration?
