Radeon X1800 XL:
GPU: 1,08 V
Samsung 1,4 ns memory: 1,88 V
Radeon X1800 XT:
GPU: 1,31 V
Samsung 1,2 ns memory: 2,07 V
XT has 1,2 ns rated chips and XL has 1,4ns chips. They also work with
different voltage. XT's GPU was manufactured on 0537 and XL on 0539. Some of
the markings different a little bit on GPUs.
I installed XT cooler to Radeon X1800 XL, raised the GPU voltage to 1,31V
and tried if the GPU could run at XT's clock frequency (625 MHz).

Well, it did and alot more better than that! Radeon X1800 XL running with
XT's default voltage I got the GPU running at 705 MHz. Unfortunately I don't
know yet how to raise the memory voltage so I just overclocked memory with
default voltage (1,88 V). Memory ran fine at 705 MHz (1410 MHz) without
artifacts. FX-57 running default gave me 9175 in 3DMark05.

I measured the temperature from voltage regulation components which was
around 58 C. Radeon X1800 XT is about the same.
In my opinion it looks like these Radeon X1800 XLs are pretty much the same
as Radeon X1800 XTs but running with lower voltage. XT's 1,2ns memory might
overclock better. Looks good for overclockers!

sembra inoltre che le 1800xt abbiano memorie che salgono a 1800 Mhz
raffreddate ad aria (25% in piů di prestazioni nel bench con d3)

Again quite a reasonable increase in performance and as we were using ATI's
new Adaptive anti aliasing and High Quality AF the game also looked
stunning.
So it looks like the X1800XT has a whole load of headroom for you
overclockers out there.and if the above performance wasn't enough to make
you salivate you should just remember all of the above was achieved on stock
cooling with stock voltage.

overvoltati salutino troppo presto.... e' che le notizie di riduzione delle
garanzie possono far sospettare una insicurezza sulla durata sul lungo
periodo. Dico insicurezza, non che sia scarsa, ma che non essendo sicuri si
siano un attimo tutelati.

Sampsa non ha realmente overvlotato, ha riportato il voltaggio della 1800xl
a quello della 1800xt, niente di fuori norma, spesso i produttori di schede
abbassano il clock per i modelli inferiori, altrimenti la gente, che non è
scema, comprerebbe quelli overcloccandoli ;)
questo voltaggio consente tranquillamente di salire ad oltre 700 mhz usando
sempre raffreddamenti standard in dotazione

I can play Battlefield 2 with an avarage fps around 90 when running
1600x1200 resolution and 4xAA/8x Quality Anisotropic filtering settings. It
runs so smoooth!!
