19:00-19:45 -- 1st presentation: Ruby: Past, Present, Future - Adam
Fine
Adam Fine will provide a panoramic perspective of Ruby's progress:
from a short review of its past, to an analysis of its current state
and challenges, culminating with an attempt to predict the directions
in which Ruby will be progressing for the near future.
Comparisons and contrasts to similar technologies like Python, Perl,
LISP and Smalltalk shall be provided, contingent on audience interest.
19:45-20:00 -- Break and refreshments
20:00-20:05 -- Lightning presentation: Zooey - Aur Saraf
Aur Saraf will present the concepts of zooming and physically behaving
user interfaces, and demo a work-in-progress implementation: Zooey.
Zooey is built with Ruby using the Cairo graphic library to draw
vector graphics.
20:05-20:15 -- Short break
20:15-21:00 -- 2nd presentation: Testing Rails - Yoni Gross
Yoni Gross will review the procedure of testing your Rails
application, and expose you to a variety of testing tools,
demonstrating concisely how each tool can help you along each of the
different phases of application development.

You get off the train at the University Station (Masof Haoniversita),
and then you go to the back of the station. From there you have a
staircase going up the cliff (it's the back exit of the station, on
its north-western part). You go all the way up the staircase, then
you're really close to the campus (you'll see the campus parking lot).
From there you just go inside the campus and find the Schreiber
building.

I hope we will have more session about advanced topics in ruby
implementations.
It might be a good idea to give lightning talks when new stuff or
updates come out.
I also think it would be a good idea to add to this thread some links
about interesting views / blog posts about the various implementations
and their
performance.
