Hi Matt,

Thanks for trying D7 Islandora.

The islandora:root object was moved into the Collection solution pack during the code sprint in May. But during the sprint of this week while porting the solution pack admin page we decided to move islandora:root back into core Islandora. Exactly to prevent confusion. It's not merged with the Islandora dev branch yet, but I'll let you know when. So for now it's in the collection solution pack if you're looking for it.

Hi everyone,

This is my first exposure to Islandora, and while I'd rather use v6 for its stability, other requirements are making the rest of the team lean more heavily towards v7.

We've followed the set up instructions as best we can, but no islandora:root object was created in Fedora. I'm not seeing _anything_ in the Islandora configuration that points to solution packs, so I'm unsure if it's still a requirement to install core to have the initial set up performed.

How do I go about adding the islandora:root object?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Cheers for this. We did end up finding it in the collection solution pack, thanks.

Is there anywhere that documents the current state of D7 Islandora? We're assessing it for a local project but the timeframe for it is pretty tight.

Thanks again,
Matt
