Hi Femi and all,

You're right, no one should care about sets really we are all over 25 years old. LOL
However work is easier among those who know each other or have prior relationships that is the benefit of sets, however, it does not have to be rigid, it should be rather loose.
Right now one huge group is fine, but once we are huge, we need natural ways to make things manageable divide projects. e.g you guys take care of history department, another group take care of grounds and maintenance, another maybe scolarships. How better if people have a natural affinity or rapport. I can bet my attitude and flow may be a little different from those who entered in 1969. Having said that, it can also be based on preferences. I am very much in favour of each individual grouping/committee not getting too large or unmanageable.

Femi, we would love to have you and welcome to switch and be an honorary member of the class of 78-83 if you will accept the invitation.

God Bless

Hello everyone, I know I am a little late in posting my views about last week's event. I had a blast and seeing everyone after such a long time was great, even though most of the people there were from sets above mine, seniority is a thing of the youth, old guys are old guys. I understand that there may be a few other ISI alumni websites. I think we need to stay unified and have just one forum. In fact what I really feel is that we need to see how we can consolidate all the different efforts form last week and the other ones that may have occurred in the past (e.g. Tive Ekpere In Maryland put some things together sometime back and even organized an ISI reunion). Obviously we only need one website. After this is done we can then try to set up an executive arm for the alumni with written bylaws ( or rule and regs) that will help guide how to run the alumni. This will include the serving time for executives etc. Through this arm we can now solicit for projects, programs, activities or what ever you want to call it to execute. We will also stipulate annual dues by all members and have times when we call for action through various projects and interested parties. We can also have regional alumni groups that will feed into the general and plan activities fun, givebacks etc in many ways. I hope you all get the drift. Lets start by finding out what other websites exist. Then we can move to trying to find out who our networks are to get them people registered, then a call for a working group to set up the bylaws and registration if none exists, then later a call for nomination of the executive arm for the general body etc. This is my little 2 cent contribution for now.

Hi there everyone, some of us do not want to join facebook, I think it would be nice for communicating among ourselves, be that as it may please go to the link http//www.isialumni.webs.com to check out the blurry photographs I took of March 29th 2008 (sorry never used a camera before, they don't have these devices in Ososo, my village) but at least you can get a general idea of what took place.

Biola Craig, I am told took a boat load of pictures, and judging from her web-site they will be of a much higher quality than mine and she did say (and heard you honey) that she would post these on her site at some time, hopefully she will not be doing naija time like she did on Saturday.  I would love to give out the web-site right now, but don't have her permission (mi o fe wahala) I will try to get her attention and have her post her site or do so with her permission so that you can see better pics.

As for the isialumni.webs.com site please go and register your name.  Please remember that in order for us to stay in contact, invite more of ourselves, and keep everyone abreast we need to have a forum, facebook would be great and I am not sure why some of us refuse to join, it is free (ofe ni) and you can view info at your leisure, please kindly reconsider your stance in this regard.  If nothing else please register on Hassy's site, she is doing all the work, and we can keep you informed of the next location, perhaps if you join facebook you will even get to cast a vote.   Or else I will announce a date and a venue and you will stuck with it.  Think about it, Ok.

Take care.  Oye Alle
