Well Mr Hrafnbjargarson, I have 12 years (10 hours every single day)
of Icelandic word-building behind me, I know every entry in the
Íslensk orðabók and the Orðsifjabók by heart, believe me. In
word-building, you are nothing compared to me.
I don't think I have to take you seriously!
Mr Hrafnbjargarson is against linguistic purism because he thinks it
has turned Icelandic into a freak in the last 300 years.
Well, Gunnar mínn, hreintungustefna is the greatest thing that could
have happened to Icelandic. It has turned Icelandic into a very
original language that has the word-record of having the least amount
of loan-words.
Denying that means that you don't actually get the nature of the
Icelandic language. That's regrettable, especially for a native
speaker of Icelandic. You have made a good choice moving to Aarhus,
where you can fully concentrate on Danish, a degeneated language which
is just a shadow of Icelandic
Upp yours man!!
