Hello Irvington Families and Friends,

It's SCRIP ordering time again. Order forms went out in Friday Folders and
are due by the end of the day on Monday December 7th. Forms are attached to
this email and you can also get them from the PTA bulletin board in the
front hall. Please return completed forms with a check to the SCRIP
drop-off slot in the school office.

Not hip to SCRIP yet? SCRIP is a convenient way to turn money you already
spend at local stores into fundraising dollars for our kids. Here's how it
works. You order pre-paid cards from local vendors (Starbucks, Fred Meyer,
New Seasons, etc, see attached order form). When the order is made, the
school is given a percentage of the total amount back. The great thing
about SCRIP is there is no extra cost to you. Each year we make thousands of
dollars from SCRIP but we are only capturing a fraction of what we could. So
become a regular SCRIP buyer today.

Please be sure to list on the back if you want it delivered to your home or
if you want to pick it up during pickup on Friday Dec 11th.

The holidays are a great time to start ordering SCRIP. Many of you are
planning to make large pre-planned purchases this season. There are ton of
very fine retailers to choose from on the SCRIP order form. Many of them
pay back high percentages (8-12%) to the school. So before you buy that
gift for a loved one, plan ahead and purchase it with SCRIP cards.

Perhaps you have budgeted a specific amount to spend this season but can't
find stores on the form that you want to patronize. With SCRIP you can now
buy a pre-paid Visa credit card and make all your holiday purchases with it.

Here's another holiday SCRIP ordering tip; If you're planning on buying gift
cards as stocking stuffers, SCRIP is a perfect way to do it. Can't find the
right store for a gift card? Here's a little tip; Both Safeway and Fred
Meyer sell gift cards for dozens of other retailers not on our form (eBay,
Target, Footlocker, Sears, The Body Shop, etc). So you could buy SCRIP for
Fred Meyer and/or Safeway and then buy a Nordstrom's or an eBay gift and
still be making a contribution to fundraising at Irvington. Here are links
to all the gift cards available at Safeway and Fred Meyers.

We will be ordering SCRIP twice this month in order to accommodate those
making holiday purchases. The next order will be due on December 14th.

If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to contact me at
fun...@europa.com or 530.975.8028.

Warmest Regards,
Jason Blumklotz
