Lloyd--I'm sure glad we both live in the city! It looks like there are fires all over the place today. With humidity at only 9% and winds gusting to 50mph, it doesn't look good! It's been an awfully long time since we have seen humidity so low. The cedar trees up north are bursting into flames--you know they call them "gasoline on a stick!" Betty

Patty--Lloyd lives in Oklahoma City and I live in Edmond, a suburb north of Oklahoma City. It would be fun to meet up with you, but you are probably too far away. Calvin is in the southwest part of the state--I would guess about 2 or 2 1/2 hours away. The winds should die down by tomorrow. Enjoy your trip--how about some photos? Betty

Hello................I turned off my computer because we kept having power surges . The east side of town has had up to 100 homes burned .
 There is a wind shift coming up in about 30 minutes and that may give a new section of town as fuel for the fire .  Whole blocks have been burned . The fires are not under control in any way because of the high winds .
