Subject: Engine degreasing and Sunday drivers
Where do SLC folks go to degrease the engine, transmission etc.?  I
need to get things cleaned up again.  The diy car wash I went to
didn't have the engine degreaser option and so was only partially
successful.  I'd rather not Gunk my car in the driveway since the
dedicated car wash will have mechanisms for addressing the detritus.

Also, can someone help me with introductions?  This last Sunday I met
a fellow IRPCA gentleman on Highland Drive.  He was driving a fine
example of a 911, white, possibly GT3, with wing but I did not catch
his name. I followed him to the freeway in my 1972 clone before
parting ways at 700 east. His license frame indicated that he is a
local clubber and his exhaust indicated that there was a fair amount
of enthusiasm for it. I am guessing he is known to others but
previously not to me.  In any case, will someone be so kind as to
convey my greetings to him?

Hello, that was me, my name is Brandon Bowen.  I really liked your
wide-body; I had a '71 911 a few years ago the early 911's are great.
My car's not a GT3, it has all the factory tidbits but you can't have
a streetable 996 GT3 MK1 in the U.S. - not that I could afford one
anyway.

As far as engine cleaning I would use a bottle of Gunk at the manual
cars wash.  I'd even bring a floor jack to get the back end up off the
wash bay floor.  However I know of no detail shop in town that cleans
the motor.
