Help with static compile

I am trying to compile icommands statically (with globus) but the build fails. I greatly appreciate if someone could share their experience and/or direct me to a post in this direction.

What types of errors are you seeing?

I was working with someone a few months ago building iRODS on ScientificLinux6.1, where they had installed the Globus packages via EPEL and our install scripts needed a few small changes to handle a slightly different Globus directory structure.  If that matches your situation, I can send you some updated scripts to try.
