Hello,

I need a time picker for my iPhone app, do you know something very
good?
How can be invoked the inbuilt rolling time picker in a web app?

Pentium10,

Check out this discussion:

Is there any reason that you cannot use the SDK?

Check this out: http://iphoneized.com/2009/03/jscss-spinning-wheel-selector-widget/

Not sure if it'll suit your needs but it's straight css and js.

Cheers,

C

Unfortunately this no longer works in 3.0... something broke.

There's quite a few things that have been broken in 3.0 (or maybe now
they work the way they were supposed to)

Wow, that's a bummer. I liked that widget. I really wish that Apple
would:

1. Bring back the number/date pickers for Mobile Safari input
fields. And make them skinnable with CSS.
2. Enable single-finger scrolling within a container like a DIV. The
"work-around/hack" widget for this also broke in OS 3.0.

So, you are creating an iPhone optimized web site?  If this is the case, then you may want to the route of a native Web technology.   If, on the other hand, you have the option of creating an iPhone app you could link from the app to a set of iPhone optimized Web pages to give you a hybrid.

I am creating an iPhone optimized web site.
How can I use a native Web technology for time pickers?

This one does not seem to work, but it is close.  You could contact the site owner:

I used that, it turned out it was not finger friendly and was buggy.
My client wants the rolling effect on a web page.
So there is nothing I can do about it?

Marton, I'd suggest going to cubiq.org and follow the development of
the widget. The author thinks he might be able to fix it.

Marton,

The cubiq.org folks have come up ith a fix. It now works a little
better in 3.0 (still a little choppy, but it works).

Can you please guide me on their site to locate an example? I don't follow them.
The last post seams to be 2009/04/12

I've implemented in our site and doesn't scroll.
It scrolls on the developers site.
