Quick shout to the iPhoneWebDev crew, because you've all helped
without knowing.

If any of you are running WordPress as a blogging platform, you might
be interested in checking out the latest release of our WPhone mobile
admin plugin.

Browsing through the iPhoneWebDev archives was a huge help while
troubleshooting this iUI-based web app, and the same goes for the
Google Project issues list.

So thanks all! :-)

One thing's for sure, iUI both helped and made my life miserable. ;-)

I think we'll keep using/bundling it, and participate in its
development when allowed/needed so all the projects gain in the end,
which is after all the point of it all.

Awesome! I just started using WP three days ago - this is very convenient.
Thanks from all Santas (santas.tempel.org)!

Thomas, as far as my kids are concerned, you just made writing that
plugin all worth it right there. :)

Merry SantaCon to you. :)

A well deserved award. I just installed it, and it's gorgeous on the
ipone, and quite useful.

Thanks so much, and great work!

Thanks Ron. :) Glad to know it's helping.

On a semi-related note, turns out it's also working pretty well on the
Android platform, right out of the box.

Though it'll just take a few CSS/JS tweaks.

The only thing I've found, and I might just be missing it, is that I
can't log out of the admin interface.

Uh?

Do you mean the the "Sign Out" button found in the panel once you
click the "Go..." button isn't working, or it's not showing up?

Red one in the screenshot linked below:

Ooooh, THAT big red button :-)

I never hit the Go button, so I didn't see that screen.

Thanks

Pfew! You scared me for a sec. ;-)

We've planned the primary navigation this way to maximize screen real
estate.
It's available from any screen to let you jump directly wherever you
wish without having to load too many pages.
I understand you had just started playing w/ the app, but as an
insight to us, would you say the "Go..." button or show/hide panel was
counter intuitive?
We'll appreciate the feedback if you thought so. Scourge of the
programmer: immersion brings comfort and disconnect from the initial
experience. :-)

Thanks,

Stephane

I didn't really give it much thought -- I saw it there, but never
pushed it because all the functions (except sign out) seemed to be
right there on the main screen. I remember wondering what the Go
button was for, but that's about it.

No worries -- I've made my living programming for 21 years, 12 of it
UI -- I know the drill :-)
