Yeah. Google Groups does not provide the best controls for spam (which
is surprising given how well Gmail handles spam) I recently stumbled
upon a blog entry by John Resig on the subject:

The jQuery group is much larger than this one and had major problems.
In this group it is a minor annoyance. A product manager from Google
posted a comment implying that improvements are coming soon. Since the
problem hasn't been that bad on this list, I think we'll make it till
the improvements go live without any major aggravation. Keep your
fingers crossed...
