You are worrying me, 3.1.4 works fine with me (including the solver).
Can you tell me the sequence that leads you to "not a number" ?

I am also having solver problems using a version of "time value of money". I have used this solver program for a couple of years. Byron, would you like the listing?

Sorry for the false alarm. All appears to be fine in 3.1.4 once I
cleared out the invalid numbers in the storage registers introduced by
versions 3.1.2 or 3.1.3.
I'm glad this problem seems to be solved, but will continue to look at
it.
