Hey folks,
Just wanted to share my latest creation, which will join me for maker faire this weekend.
It is demonstrating the soon-to-be-released motor control library.

Is there a link to Anton's shell stuff?

I'd love to know more about how the shell is interacting with IOIO (which is interacting with Android/Java).

Not yet. We're still sorting some things out before it is released.
To make it clear: the shell mode doesn't involve neither Android nor Java. It is a completely different app that allows you to connect to a PC, open a 'screen' session and run shell commands on the IOIO. On the IOIO side, the shell code makes it very easy to add new commands.

been waiting for this project for months ! (since I heard you're going to make it)
since it is quite close to my KeerBot project (here)

Need to make a decision to stay in Arduino (my original Matlab code) or keep Dan's "marginally clever" code (see here) or to transfer to IOIO.

In the meanwhile - Good job - pity I cant go to Maker's faire to watch it run.

I can't tell you what to choose, as I don't know all your requirements and constraints.
The only data-point that I can give you is that I intend to release the motor control library within a few weeks probably, and would be able to publish a no-newbie-questions-asked Beta version sooner.

That's great news,

BTW - is it essential that the IOIO will be connected through USB cable to the android tablet ? can it work through BT ?

I haven't tried BT, but it should be fine.
May stutter slightly if your segments are too short.
I'll test it next time I'm running the plotter.
