Subject: [IOBB Groups] Fw: European Federation on Biotechnology -
Bioprocess Engineering Master Course 2008 >>> Last few free places
THE LAST CALL >> THERE ARE THE LAST FREE PLACES AVAILABLE
Dear Mr.Chairman, dear colegues, dear friends,
It represent me a great pleasure to inform you that the time has come
to announce it again that European Federation of Biotechnology (EFB)
and European Section on Biochemical Engineering Sciences (ESBES) will
perform their doctoral/post doctoral level EFB Bioprocess Engineering
Course (EFB BEC) in Supetar, Island of Brac, Croatia 14 - 19
September 2008 EFB BEC have been successfully run on a number of
occasions since 1992 and each course has been attended by
approximately 70 participants from both industry and academia.
For all industrial processes, modelling, optimisation and control are
the keys to enhancing productivity and ensuring product quality. In
bioprocess applications, however, there are commonly a number of
limitations to the implementation of these approaches; the challenges
lie primarily in the effective coupling of reactor configuration,
process design and control with an understanding of microbial
performance under specified conditions. again great advanced course
on Bioprocess Engineering is offered again.
The course is directed specifically for Ph.D. students and
experienced biotechnologists from research institutes, universities
and industry. Participants are expected to have a background in
chemical/biochemical engineering, biotechnology or a related
discipline. The course consists of a series of carefully selected
lectures combined with computer (Matlab)-based tutorial sessions. The
lecturers, who are all the best acknowledged specialists in their
fields, are available throughout the course for informal discussions
with participants.
The course also provides a forum for highlighting recent research in
relevant areas and participants are encouraged to present a poster on
their work. Selected candidates will be invited to make short oral
presentations, at a 'Speakers' Corner', to be held during the course.
The best presentations would be proposed as invited articles in Food
Technology Biotechnology Journal ( IF, SCI ).
EFB Bioprocess Engineering Course is not only the best tribune for
exchange the most relevant scientific informations, it is the most
popular tribune for young scientists to join the best European
Scientific Centers and Universities.
Therefore there are enough good reasons, so join us on the Great
United Europe, EFB Bioprocess Engineering Course that is performed in
Europe every second or third year only. As there are only A FEW
PLACES STILL AVAILABLE, and EFB BEC is getting in The World frame,
more and more popular, the it is no supprize that course is usually
overbooked.
The participation is still open a few places are still available. Next
Course is in 2010
With the best wishes,
Prof.dr.Marin Berovic
