We are very fortunate with the December code night at CoWS (Thursday 6th Dec) that a terrific Cooma-based tech, Darren McIntosh, will grace us with a presentation on the use of Drones/UAVs for surface imaging combined with Artificial Intelligence to detect weeds (with a view to elimination).

Darren has had some success in this area and is part of a Council-supported Cooma based project to look at the viability of this in reality in farmland across the Monaro.

Darren also did the coding in Python, and he assures me that there will be ample Python code on the screens and whiteboards about the place for lovers of that language...and for everyone else, I think Darren may welcome some friendly anti-Python banter :-)

And those of you in the 'Fortran on iOS/Android movement'...maybe sit this one out :-)

More on this closer to the day...hope you make it...a great way to code out the end of what has been a truly unequalled and magnificent year for tech, innovation and startups in the Bega Valley....

See ya there.

Liam
