hi.

i have created a PHP website that will get informatiopm from a MySQL Database of pictures and this will be listed in a TABLE format.

Is it possible to do the same thing but to use a Pick Database within Cache now within MySQL?

Can you use PHP coding in Cache/Zen?  I am currently using Dreamweaver PHP code to display my webpage with the list of pictures.

Can anyone help?

Regards,

Hi Sam,

I believe that you should be able to access Cache using ODBC from PHP, and it's also possible to use SOAP if you prefer, though that requires slightly more work on the server to create the SOAP services.

If you are already building your website using PHP, I think it will only complicate matters to bolt on a subsection of the UI that is written in a different language. (That said, I believe we have a Dreamweaver plugin for CSP, so it may be worth investigating that if this is the only piece of the site being built using PHP.)

I hope that helps, even if only to provide more things to look into.

Dale
