Reloading Page on Form Submit

Hi all,

 

Is there a way to prevent reloading of the page upon a form submit? My guess is no – since form submit is a POST to an action-property specified page. I ask on behalf of a customer who is using a file upload control in a form. He’d like to submit the form and do whatever he needs in %OnSubmit. However, this action will reload the page, undoing whatever and various client-side loading of dynamic components.

 

Or is the solution to avoid the submit paradigm altogether?

You have to do a form submit to send a multi-part form / file upload via HTTP. There is no other way to get the file back to the server. You could do this in a pop up page so your main page is unaffected but there is no way to prevent this.
