I have in front of a me a sect2 processor with a sticker saying Pentium Celeron II. There are no serial numbers or codes apart from a sticker on the built on fan saying " PC 100 Pentium II"

The problems, firstly, I don't know what processor it is. Is it a Celeron or Pentium II? Secondly, I don't know what speed it is or what voltage the chip is. It is probably very obvious but is there anybody who can help me? PLEASE!

Celeron's were sold as SEPP packages and later PGA so I think it's a Pentium
II you're holding there.
So it's in a black casing we understand correct? If so at the top there
should be a long string of digits,
please read them off so someone can verify what CPU you have and what speed
it's rated for.

Kind Regards,

Hello Dietmar,

Please download and run the Intel(R) Processor Frequency ID
Utility from the following website:
http://support.intel.com/support/processors/tools/frequencyid/

Also, as Adam noted, please reply with the information from the
top edge of your processor (nothing handwritten). We'll be able
to tell which processor you have by the markings or by the
utility above.
