Overriding YAHOO.widget.DataTable functions with inputEx.widget.DataTable

I have migrated a YAHOO.widget.DataTable to use the inputEx datatable
(beta). I had a paginator in the old table and overrode the
handleDataReturnPayload with a different function. I was wondering
what the best approach would be for the inputEx datatable to have the
same ability.

To make this work I modified the inputEx datatable.js by adding the
following line (in the renderDatatable function):

this.datatable.handleDataReturnPayload =
this.options.handleDataReturnPayload;

the function is passed in with the options.

Any thoughts or better solution is much appreciated.

I don't have a better solution yet...

The current datatable widget still is beta...
However, I'm working on a complete refactoring of the inputEx
datatable component...

Since my original post, I decided to modify the inputex datatable to
extend YUIs datatable. Please let me know if you would like the
source.

Hi Joe,

Of course we would love to see your contribution.
The current repository already made a lot of changes on the datatable
components.

Could you submit it to a fork on github ?
