populating select from database

how can i populate the <select> if the data is from the database?
other input elements too.. how do i populate them? thanks!

Hi,

What you are looking for is the DSSelectField :
http://javascript.neyric.com/inputex/examples/dsselect_field.html

It is a select field which loads its data from a YUI Datasource :
http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/datasource/

With the YUI Datasource, you can load data from an Ajax Request, a javascript function, or an in-memory object.
