debian package, git

Hi,

I'd like to package inputex for Debian. We use debian packages for the
deployment of our Web applications and input ex will be a dependency for
one project.

However it's much more easy to build a package, if upstream uses a
decentralized VCS. Could you imagine to switch to git in the near
future?
