I'm pretty sure my device is just old and broken. Yes, it runs older homebrew stuff but I've not tried more recent things lately, and well, I think it's time for an upgrade. That said, does anyone have any of the following:
1. CycloDS 2. R4DS
I'm thinking of just working with slot-1.
Then I can use Slot-2 for more fun stuff... like DSerial

Of course, it's just that the device pair I have now requires both slot 1 and slot 2 to be occupied, which was really a bummer.
Also, I suspect it's why I've been having such trouble with the smaller images that no one else has any trouble with.
At this point I can no longer build anything that works for my existing hardware, and my new part won't be here until friday.
