Subject: Good slot 1 devices

I'm pretty sure my device is just old and broken.  Yes, it runs older
homebrew stuff but I've not tried more recent things lately, and well, I
think it's time for an upgrade.
That said, does anyone have any of the following:

1. CycloDS
2. R4DS

I'm thinking of just working with slot-1.

Then I can use Slot-2 for more fun stuff... like DSerial

It looks like DSerial is a slot-1 device.

moreover Dserial has been sold out,
drunken coders has some interesting device reviews:

In any case it's preferable to finish programming the default hardware
that comes with the DS like: wifi and storage before moving to something else.

I think DSerial2 is for sure.  I just checked with a friend who managed to
get one before the guy stopped making them.

He was doing some pretty cool stuff, using it to test embedded boards at
work via touch screen interface over i2c.

That's ok, I can live without it :-)

Of course, it's just that the device pair I have now requires both slot 1
and slot 2 to be occupied, which was really a bummer.

Also, I suspect it's why I've been having such trouble with the smaller
images that no one else has any trouble with.

At this point I can no longer build anything that works for my existing
hardware, and my new part won't be here until friday.

Dave
