How is this meant to be ran?

I copied the .nds file over to my CycloDS Evolution's 2gb microSD card
under the apps folder. When I start up Inferno it has a bunch of text
looping really fast on the bottom screen then goes white after 17
seconds.

Is this meant to be ran from a different device? Incompatible with
Slot-1 devices? I haven't developed any DS software and don't know
jack about developing software for it, but I would like to help test
and use Inferno.

i've been experiencing the same behaviour on dstt,
and probably it affects all the devices that perform dldi-auto-patching.

After spending some time figuring out the reason it turns out
that the .nds file was being automatically dldi-patched by the nds loader,
then when the dldi-patched hdr.io.read() at devdldi.c:/^dldiread
was being called it generated a cpu exception.
The fix has been to ignore the dldi-patched io functions.

The attached isds-r164-fix.nds that should work fine,
if that's the case i'll push the changes to the repo
and replace the isds-r164.nds file from the downloads.

good luck,

That one got farther. Now I have a different error type deal going
on. Here's what's showing on my screen.

66 MHz id 41059461

Inferno Fourth Edition (20080724)
conf sds (1217618162) jit 0

o->pgrp->dot 222b188
Initial Dis: "/osinit.dis"
dossrv: mount /n/local: unknown format
root from (remote,kernel)[remote]

that's ok, then it's working fine.
just take a look at the README for instructions:
choose 'kernel' using the directional keys and the A button (as enter).

there's not a lot of documentation about interacting using the
available input methods:
touch and buttons but chording and snarfing work fine
using the touch, L, R buttons as mouse button 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
For more detail the best place to look for info should be reading devnds.c.

Sounds like I should try this version on my older DS tools...
