Euphorbia cooperi N. E. Br. ex A. Berger, Sukkul. Euphorb. 83. 1906 ("1907")


An african species, often cultivated. Succulent spiny tree up to 6 m tall, 5-6 winged stem constricted into segments, the terminal segment appearing like a  tower; spines in pairs up to 6 mm long, grey with blackish tips; leaves scale-like early deciduous; cymes in groups of 3, sessile, glands 5, yellow; fruit yellow with red angles.
