Dear Friend,
Valmiki mentioned SHIRISHA tree in his Ramayan.The scientific name of this tree is Albizzia lebbek.Commonly known as Siris tree.The tree bears innumerable heads of fuzzy, green and white scented flowers.
I remember a night at Gowalior where I had the experience of having the smell of the flowers of this tree,where it used to be a common avenue tree in 1983.I still remember that night.Attaching an image of SHIRISHA.
