From the leaves i.e. the stalk holding up the leaf like an umbrella (peltate) I presume this is Macaranga tomentosa. The Macaranga tree is one of few trees that have large leaves in an otherwise leafless forest of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Mumbai during the current summer months.

Currently called Macaranga tanarius (hairy mahang) as per the link with details http://www.worldagroforestrycentre.org/sea/Products/AFDbases/AF/asp/SpeciesInfo.asp?SpID=1092, here is a good link with pictures of fruits & flowers etc. http://www.brisrain.webcentral.com.au/old_site/database/Macar_tanarius.htm
