My friend Rajeev Kadapatti had a 5ft one in his Pune garden last year.
He has a thriving population of about 6 plants, all raised from a
single tuber collected 8-9yrs ago.

That is really great Dr. Aparna. U know, by age terrestrial orchids
may get taller. Not a big deal, what is big deal is, if they are
getting tall naturally, then it also means that they are getting an
ideal natural environment which is getting very rare for them these
days due to both natural and anthropogenic pressures. Eulophia flava,
an another terrestrial orchids, is reported to be around 30 - 45 cm
tall, but we have few plants here in wild in our campus, which are
more than 1.5m tall with flowers!! and have huge underground corms
(tubers).
By the way, just in case your friend or anyone else here has pictures
with scale then I would love to have such pictures of it.
Regards
Pankaj
