Jacaranda blooms

[Rama Mulye]

Saw jacaranda blooms at mayani near satara. Is it a bit early for this bloom? have always associated jacaranda blooms with summer ....

I have seen them flowering in Himachal during my trek in May, over the years.

I think so, but I don't know of the following species are found in India. Pl. see the following link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacaranda

Yes it appears to be too early.
Even in Pune I have seen an occasional Jacaranda in full bloom.But most are not.
