Basic Photo Techniques (Structural Portraits)

1. Pay Attention to the Light – Try silhouettes, Side-lighting or Shadows.
2. Symmetry & Reflections – Capture horizontal, vertical & diagonal
frames of an object.
3. Tell the Story – Ask people about its history, be the story-teller
and use architectural elements (staircase, windows, rooftops) to
convey the story.
4. Use Tripod – Better use tripod & camera with narrow aperture (f/11)
to capture detail of every part of an architecture.
5. Walk Around – Take a stroll around and explore the possible vantage
points. Look for pillars, walls & sculptures.
6. Wide-Angle Advantage – Try to include everything in your frame.
