Phyllanthus fraternus and P. amarus are considered to be closely related species, latter having narrower leaves, 5 perianth in both male and female flowers, some axils with both male and female flowers. In P. fraternus on the other hand leaves are broader, perianth 6 in both male and female flowers and male and female flowers in separate axils, male towards base and female towards the top.
I had uploaded as P. amarus the specimens photographed in December with lowed axils mostly female, middle with one male and one female flower, and upper axils with male flowers. Both type of flowers have 5 perianth. I am uploading the same again.
Kindly compare this with my next upload as P. fraternus.
