Acmella ciliata (Kunth) Cass., Dict. Sci. Nat. (ed. 2) 24: 331, 1822

syn: Spilanthes ciliata Kunth

Decumbent perennial herb, rooting at nodes; leaves broadly ovate with rounded or cordate base, petiole up to 4 cm long, narrowly winged; heads radiate, 2-3 together, axillary or terminal; broadly ovoid, 6-10 mm high, 6-9 mm in diam; phyllaries 7-10, biseriate; receptacle 4-7 mm high; ray florets 6-10, yellow to orange yellow; disc florets usually more than 100, 5-merous, orange yellow; achenes black 1.5-2 mm long, margin cork-like, sparsely ciliate; pappus absent or of 2 very short bristles.
