It is Tribulus species, either T. subramanyamii or T. terrestris. We need to see the style and/or fruit to confirm.

I am using Irfan view software for viewing pictures. In that, after opening a picture, click English alphabet " i " in your computer key board then information related to that picture will appear. I found Irfan view is a nice software for picture viewing and simple editing. This is a freely downloadable software.

Dear Ushadi Ji,

I just found out that I am getting only the information of my downloading including time and date, not the exif data.

Therefore, please excuse me that I haven't given the time of capturing the picture but the time of my downloading from the properties of the software that I am using.

I think only the person who uploads the picture can give the information regarding the time and date of picture.
All these confusions would be solved if members provide such information along with each upload.

But I have seen the flower of this particular species gets curled/wilt in the afternoon by around 15hr (or even before) when I was doing my MSc in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. Tribulus terrestris was plenty in our campus and in fact this was the species for our practicals for Zygophyllaceae family. Our Taxonomy professor use to say that you must collect the plant with flower in the morning hours otherwise the flower would wilt.

Giby

To know the exact time and date of picture taken, I used to save it in the computer, then right click on the file name and select properties and click details. In this case it is 8/10/2010, 5:45 pm.
