Hi,
I am Venkat, new to this group and interested in Taxonomy. I came
across this group and I was excited to see such an interactive group.
I will get a lot to learn from you guys gr88 going.....

Can somebody identify this plant.

this is not cynara scolymus... it is from my observation it is clear that it is silybum marianum (milk thistle), family asteraceae, it is introduced in nilgiris.seeds are used for treating gall bladder disease.
