Dear Sathish,I saw a mail with the subject line mentioned in the subject above. The mail was with an nattached photograph of supposedly Mesua ferrea. To my mind it does not appear to be Mesua at all. What I know about esua ferrea the Nahar tree of Northeast, The India iron wood tree has opposit to subopposit leaves where the lateral nerves are not prominent. the leaves further are entire. The flowers are much larger too. With the alternate leaves in the picture I am forced to think of some Theacea members like Schima?? I can send some of my pictures of Mesua ferrea later when I am little free. Please have a relook at the photo that might have been sent to you by some body under this name. You people are doing a great job in creating interst and awareness about plant world that will result in better appreciation about the environment surrounding us.regards,Sincerely yours,K.
