On 6/7/08 on the outskirts of Hyderabad. It was an oval shaped shrub on the bund along-side a big lake.

Thanks, Rajendra ji.
I think there are four stamens only in the picture.
This link gives C. indica as syn. of Cadaba fruiticosa:  http://www.ncbi.org.in/biota/flora/Top/Synonym2.jsp?scid=1547&cnid=0&snid=55&dsnno=3

This is from Capparidaceae, Cadaba sp. If the number of stamens are 4 then, its C. indica; if 5 then, C. farinosa (this is rare and reported from Sindh region).

Lovely photos Gargji. Here is my photograph of Cadaba fruiticosa taken on Vetal Tekdi,Pune in this summer. The violet tinge is beautiful on closeup view.
Was the violet tinge seen in your flowers at Hyderabad?

Thanks, Satish ji.
I didn't observe it. May be it was quite sunny & excess light.
