posted pics of Sida capitata syn. Malachra capitata taken at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivli, Mumbai on 4th Oct 09.
Native of Brazil. Introduced here as a fiber plant. Now naturalised and grew as an invader. Grows near marshy land. Yields fiber resembling jute. ( ref book: Common Indian Wild flowers by Mr. Kehimkar)
