I think these flowers are called Kateri Koranti in Marathi I have seen a lot of them in my childhood Jambhali(purple) koranti, Pandhari (white) koranti , pivali(yellow) koranti and red koranti. The plant when  blooms is full of flowers and a real beauty to see..I thought the purple one is called in english as Barleria involucrata. what is the difference from Barleria cristata?

Bhagyashri

Yes Madhuri ji, the flowers of two look similar but flower of B. involucrata has a darker centre. In addition the main differences are:

Barleria cristata: Leaves 5-10 cm long; nerves 6-7 pairs; petioles 3-8 mm;flowers in dense spikes; outer sepals 2-3 cm long, spinous

Barleria involucrata: Leaves 10-20 cm long; nerves 8-10 pairs; petiole 1-5 cm; flowers in large terminal panicles; outer sepals 4-5 cm long
