Greetings from oikos !

Marine regions cover about three-fourths of the Earth's surface. Marine algae supply much of the world's oxygen supply and take in a huge amount of atmospheric carbon dioxide. The evaporation of the seawater provides rainwater for the land. There is constant interaction of nutrients & matter between land & sea, making them dependent on eachother for healthy functioning.

This largest ecosystem include various sub-systems like oceans, coral reefs, estuaries, creeks, mangroves, sand dunes, sandy beach and rocky beach. Each of this system has got its unique flora and fauna and ecological significance.

We are dependent on healthy ecosystems in verious ways for food, raw material, shelter, water, pure air, & many more ! Lets preserve them !

Warm Regards,

Ketaki and Manasi
