Thanks for the photograph. I am reminded of this tree we had seen this in Corbett NP in April and our Nepalese bird guide from Tiger Camp told us that the local women use the red powder as sindoor. We didn’t see such profusion of fruits as this tree though!

It is also called Runi or Rohini by the Kumaonis, and is a common mid-sized tree in the bhabar forests.
