query regarding taking food items into India

Hello,

I am flying back to India in december and i plan to take some cheese, wine, marmalade and olives for my sister. Does the custom allow it ? I know that USA doesnt allow cheese from France.

Hi!

• Usually, any soft cheese is not allowed.
  
• You can carry maximum 2 liters of wine.
  
• Marmalade, olive are allowed.
• Do check the prohibited list of items provided by airlines you are traveling.
• For example: For Air France the list is here
